Why I blog….

Hello World – I am back after some technical difficulties…

Our monitor stopped working randomly yesterday. But today we are now the proud owners of a new computer monitor.

I have been reading up on how have a great blog that people will want to read. A lot of the articles I read say that you are to have a “niche” and to stick with that one specific thing. I am not really sure that I agree with that. I like variety and I think if you stick to only one specialty that you will quickly get bored and run out material to write about. I am not really an expert in any special area. I want share my experiences. Share stories that have happened to me or my family. Share tips with you that I have found that makes life a little easier. Write about Anything & Everything Really.  I do not really “plan” a post but just sit down and write about what comes to my mind that day.

I’ve decided my blogs niche is variety.

I just like to write. I like writing about lots of different things. Maybe this idea will come back to bite me in the butt but at this point I am happy to write about what ever comes to mind.

I have wanted to start a blog for a few years. Ever since I start reading The Pioneer Woman’s blog a few years ago….like before her T.V. cooking show.  She has an amazing blog, filled with beautiful pictures, a gorgeous family and lots of yummy food recipes.  She is an Amazing & Inspiring blogger.

I worried that if I wrote words on a computer screen and published it to the world;  Would any one read it? It is quite a scary endeavor. Putting yourself out there for others to judge, analyze and criticize.  It took me so long because of fear of failure. No one wants to fall flat on their face. Or have people be mean to you for something you wrote. That thought alone is intimidating for a lady like me who wears her heart on her sleeve.

All I know is that I love to write. If fact my favorite class in High School was Creative writing. But how do bloggers write everyday and don’t they run outta things to write about? What makes people fall in love with a specific blog? How do I go about getting followers that will come back here every time I write a new post? All of these questions swirled around in my head.

I have been told by many people that I have a way with words. I hope my writing style is pleasurable to read. I like to write poems too but it usually takes me a while to write poems. I love writing cards (Birthday, Thank You..) for my friends and family. I love how words can express somethings you’ve been feeling but haven’t said out loud. Or things you should say more often but it’s never seems to be the right time to say it. Words usually come easily for me. My mind never really turns off.

Writing is therapeutic for me. It gives me an outlet to share my thoughts, my life and my experiences. One day recently I bite the bullet (so to speak) and just started this blog. So far I love it. I know that is will take time to build up a following but each post is a step in the right direction.  I have hope and dream that this will work out for me.  I hope I will find people who like variety, who will like my random, sometimes helpful, sometimes sentimental posts, who will come back and read my new posts and follow me cause they like my blog.  If that doesn’t happen I guess I will just be here writing here to myself.
